The title of this song Bli’ Min (in Danish), translates into ‘becoming mine’ in English. The song may speak about how you feel when you are hoping and longing for someone special to become part of your world.
I did the first recording of this song on my second album as a leader called Brazilian Heart. It had lyrics by the legendary Brazilian poet Fernando Brant and the great singer Silvana Malta did the vocals.
The song is included in the upcoming release Torben Westergaard: Jazz Brazil, which will be released in the fall of 2022.
